6.14 Conclusion

Getting a good handle of the law is the first step to going to court.  The law can be confusing and difficult to read. Stay patient and take the time to understand your legal position. Refer back to Chapter 4 – Getting Help. if you need a little extra help from a professional understanding your situation.

Through the next few chapters you will learn exactly how to navigate through the court system and how to prepare your case.  But remember even though you are going to court you should continue to assess the possibility of coming to an agreement with you former spouse whenever possible.
